Huttopia Paradise Springs has a fascinating history that adds a unique dimension to your glamping in San Gabriel Mountains experience. In the 1920s, Noah Beery and his brother Wallace, both Hollywood actors, built stone cabins, a ballroom, and other facilities on the site, including a series of spring-fed trout ponds, to create a popular destination for their high-society friends.
Old photos and well-documented stories show that Charlie Chaplin, Clark Gable, Mary Pickford, and even the iconic Tarzan and Olympic champion swimmer Johnny Weissmuller were among the visitors. In later years, John Wayne was known to enjoy the area. Today, Huttopia Paradise Springs is a place where you can walk in the footsteps of these silver screen legends and even swim in the same pool where the 5-time gold medalist trained.

PARKING: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
A signature element of Huttopia glamping resorts is central parking areas located away from your accommodations so that guests can enjoy their surroundings and their experience peacefully and safely. Wheeled carts are available in all parking lots for the convenient unloading and loading of your things. We want all of our guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature during their stay, and not having vehicle noise or headlights close by makes a big difference.

Olympic Pool in the Heart of the Mountains
A true hidden gem! Nestled in the canyon, our Olympic-size pool is spring-fed, as surprising as it is inviting. Originally built in the 1920s during the site’s first camp, it has been carefully restored to offer today a one-of-a-kind swimming experience in the middle of nature.
Whether you’re looking to swim a few refreshing laps or simply relax in the shade of the trees, this is the perfect spot for all ages. Stretch out on a lounge chair with a good book, soak in the peaceful atmosphere, and enjoy this preserved piece of history.
Reception & Central Lodge
At the center of the camp, our central lodge welcomes you in a warm and friendly space with Wi-Fi. Here you’ll find the reception, the camp store, and inviting common areas — perfect for enjoying a coffee, reading a book, or playing board games with family and friends.
In the Red Rock area, an additional service point also awaits, complete with Wi-Fi, a shaded terrace, and games for all ages.

With 150 acres to explore at Huttopia Paradise Springs and hundreds of thousands more in the surrounding Angeles National Forest, adventure is just steps from your tent. Family-friendly hiking trails lead to unforgettable mountain and valley views. The Angeles National Forest features dense chaparral, thriving in mild winters and hot, dry summers, while higher elevations are covered with pine and fir trees.
Spanning elevations from just over 1,000 to more than 10,000 feet, the forest offers 548 miles of trails. Supplying a third of Los Angeles’ drinking water, this natural resource is a cool, comfortable escape from the city. Protected for over a century, the area remains a top destination for hiking, climbing, camping, fishing, and more.
